It turns out that she loves being outside

Well, it's finally looking a bit like spring:

Sunday after lunch, we took Lily to see some ducks, which she quacked and waved at - the ducks pretty much just floated around:

On our way back home, Anna called to invite Lily to visit the animals. (No, that's not just me trying to construct a narrative - I think she was excited to finally have some warm weather, and had invited Maya and Megan over too.)

Lily loved the pigs, the goat, the overly-friendly barn kitten, the dogs, and the cows, but was unconvinced about Anna's horses:

Back home, she didn't want to go inside, so I put a hat on her and let her run around for a while. Saturday she was still afraid of the snow, but by Sunday she was blazing trails right over it!

Still a tiny little thing:

Eventually she decided that she wanted to go inside, climbed up on the side porch, and started pulling on the door (after running back and forth for a few minutes, of course.)

And finally, here's when she discovered the geese:

  1. Wonderful little girl. :)
She takes after her daddy's love of the outdoors ... walking to work ... kayaking, spelunking, (is that how you spell that??), and all that kind of stuff.

    Hugs.

  2. And ... I forgot one more of her dad's outdoor pleasures ... how could I forget ... sky diving!! It looks like Lily wants to "sky dive" off the bridge in second photo. :)
